Communities For Children
The Communities For Children Initiative is funded by the Australian Government Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (‘FaHCSIA’)

Communities for Children seeks to achieve better outcomes for children aged 0 – 12 and their families. The program is an innovative model that builds on the principles of community engagement and ownership by providing communities with the opportunity to identify and resolve their own issues.
West Pilbara Communities for Children
In the West Pilbara, $2.8 million has been allocated from 2012-2014. Five key focus areas have been identified and are listed below:

Link universal services with specialist support services and adult secondary services
Our site is managed by a Consortium (called the Facilitating Partner) which is made up of the Shire of Roebourne, Shire of Ashburton and Regional Development Australia Pilbara (RDA Pilbara) as the lead agency.
